The daughter of a professional dancer and a coach, I …

. . . discovered the connection between mind, mood and body at a young age. Dance classes with my mom, kicking a soccer ball with my dad, walking, biking, body-surfing ocean waves — we did it all.

But it wasn’t until a 30-pound weight gain and a bout of depression during college that I discovered the power of weight training to make me feel strong, healthy and lean. I have been picking up and putting down heavy things since I was 18. Now, at 59, the world around me is catching up to what I’ve always known: strength is essential for women. And I’m all in.

As a certified personal trainer and wellness coach, I work exclusively with women in their 50s, 60s and beyond to safely build the strength they need to feel their most empowered selves.

My practice is small, exclusive and unique. I work only one-on-one in a private gym in Bridgehampton. I have created a space — dare I say a sacred space — where you can be your true self without fear and without judgment. I will meet you where you are and help take you where you want to go. And I will do so with 100% confidentiality.

I believe that your relationship with me — your coach — requires the right chemistry and I will never take on a new client until we’ve had the chance to meet and begin working together.

The list of reasons why I was reluctant to exercise is endless. Most notably, I have undergone seven invasive procedures and surgeries in the last two years, and I have more to endure. One of the best decisions I have made in this healing journey was to do personal training with Joyce. I now call her “Coach,” as a coach is defined by the ability to understand and analyze a person’s weaknesses and strengths. They must also motivate, improve, and encourage one’s potential. Joyce has done this with and for me. Again, this is one of my best decisions in my healing journey. I feel mentally and physically stronger than ever and am ready for the next procedure.
